I just saw "The Hudsucker Proxy"…
…and was glad to see that it'd been pointed out a few times. It would have made a nice addition to the list.

My quibbles…
Smith in "Hitch" has more background than any character in the movie except for Mendes'. He's a professional magical black man, sure, but it's not a movie about the Kevin James character in which Smith magically swoops to the rescue. If you're going to apply the label to "Hitch," I think there needs to

All this Morgan Freeman talk…
…actually made me think of Tim Robbins' turn as a magical white man in "The Shawshank Redemption."

That's not quite fair…
I'm not sure where the assertion that "…if the movie had glorified…promiscuity and abortion, that would have been audacious to the reviewer" come from. The review indicated that the film as it stands IS audacious, and I read "startling audacity" as referring to the subject matter of the film in

Hmm…
John 18:36 - "Jesus said, 'My kingdom is not of this world.'"

re: names
Sorry, but the argument that the specific constellation of names is so unlikely as to make identity certain is just bunk. A helpful rundown of the problems with the evidence, including statistics on names found in Palestinian ossuaries:

I'm no scientist…
…but I'm pretty sure the DNA test itself couldn't show that. Wouldn't "only one human parent" mean that Jesus' DNA would be identical to Mary's? So you'd have to find an identical match from female remains - assuming in any case that the virgin birth would mean that Mary's DNA passed to Jesus

Fair enough.
For the record, the NT is written in common (Gk. "koine") Greek.

I meant "chi-xi-stigma"…
…instead of "chi-xi-sigma" in the first instance.

666 != Nero
Sorry, but that's just not quite right.
