Garron and Unstoffe (and to a lesser extent Graff Vynda-K and Sholakh) are what makes "The Ribos Operation" one of the more entertaining serials of the Key To Time season.

If they don't, they should.  Because it is AWESOME.

It bothers me more to hear Elton John or Billy Joel on classic rock stations.  Dig a little deeper and play some Traffic or April Wine or something, and let the easy-listening stations play that piano shit.

I always have to laugh when I hear a bumper that says something like "100.3, where we play new rock first." and then they play something off of "Nevermind".

I did too, and it's all Dennis Hopper's fault.  Fortunately, ironic consumption of PBR leads to unironic drunkenness.

That's a good one too.  The Blue Hawaiians did one as well, but it's more on the lounge-y end of the surf spectrum.  The best single surf/xmas hybrid is definitely The Bomboras' "Lil' Drummer Boy".

The King's is good, but I prefer "The Ventures' Christmas Album".

No article about "The Rifleman" is complete without this picture:

I just finished rewatching the Baker The Second era this weekend, and I have to say that getting through those two seasons was a slog.

I was surprised and very pleased to see "Sledge Hammer!" mentioned too.

The 70s version is my favorite too.  The McCoy version is lousy, and the Trial of A Time Lord version is nearly as bad.

"The Prisoner" has a great theme AND great incidental music.

Is RABM actually a thing?  Do they sing about Katyn, the Holodomor, the Khmer Rouge, Leon Czolgosz and stuff like that?

Mine is gone, because I Adblocked that shit with a quickness.

I thought the first song was pretty terrible, the middle songs were pretty middling, but that last song is EPIC.

Yes on Altar of Plagues, Fen, Caina and Celephais.  Oranssi Pazuzu is great too, but it's too weird to be crammed into some little subgenre box.  I'd throw in Petrychor too.

My pick for this month is Tsjuder's "Legion Helvete".  After a long hiatus, they pick up right where "Desert Northern Hell" left off.  It might not represent much of a progression for the band, but it's still solid thrash-accented blasting black metal.

Whoa there.  The Trashmen were more than just "Surfin' Bird".  "Tube City", "Stick Shift" and "Malagueña" are some of the great songs of first wave surf music.

I'm not convinced that any of that lot are worthy of joining the ranks of Ryōri no Tetsujin.  Maybe if the final battle was facing off against Hiroyuki Sakai in Battle Mishima Beef…
