well the word soccer does originate from England…*puts on his boring hat*…see the term is derived from the word association which was the term used to describe Football at the time, as in association rules football. The myth is that a public school boy was playing the sport with a few friends, when a teacher asked him

I like the bit where he plays Tony Blair..or should that be T B.Liar, am I right, yeah!

He is the cinderlla man dog.

Kaiser Chiefs? What ever happened to those guys. I remember buying there first album and thinking its was britpop all over again, then I brought there second album then I got bored.

I do…I say, 'I need to go to the hospital' 'I am going to the hospital.' 'whats this building its the hospital.' or 'Well of course you're not going to go to the hospital'

having grown up in the 80s I think the films at the time where pretty dam good, and sure a lot them don't bear up to scrutiny now, but I can still watch Gremlins, The Goonies, Ghostbusters, Back To The Future, even some of that John Hughes nonsense. The thing was these films where blockbuster movies of there day.

Isle of Man didn't legalize homosexuality until 1992 25 years after England..FACT. Realy I am surprised that women even have the vote of the Isle of Man, but still they are all probably bearded inbreed freaks anyway.

@ uni….What would president ronald regan say if he was asked if he wanted to have a brain transplant…'I want one!"

one thing that dates Brass Eye more then Day Today, is that it relied heavily on sending up rubbish celebs of the time(though the kim wilde interview in The Day Today is a treat). Try explaining to a kid what a Jas Mann was…Though one thing I will take issue with about 'predicting' is that Chris Morris character is

that-not

I am chilled, I am having a banana Mister Super Karate, I was just making light of one of the more moody cases that we brits aren't allowed to read about. Its really does make for depressing reading as that all the cases involve an a soccer player fucking a reality tv star. Sorry if you thought I was having a go.

@Kjohnson…You Americans take video games a bit more serious then we do here in the UK. You watch any soap or drama or mainstream comedy and if there is a kid (always a kid, cause people stop playing video games once they hit 18 obviously) holding an X-Box 360 controller or PS 3 controller the sound in the back ground

really the 90s…they where popular with kids in the 80s in the UK. Karl Pilkington even mentions it on the Ricky Gervais Podcasts. I even had a mate with one too…never been so bored in all my life, it took ages to find someone to talk too, and even then the conversations where really quite dull.

cheers for that Polly Pretty Polly thats going straight in my wank bank…Thats just funny yet slightly odd and unsettling.

they are fucking big now though, and they aren't that magical or weird anymore either. I find them midly disappointing really….

@super karate monkey death car….Like Colbert and Stewart talking about British press gag orders (still relevant, still hilarious as hell)….Oh yeah this is an american site, so I can talk about those famous types with out the fear of being arrested and dragged off to be thrown in a scummy smelly jail cell for 68

@unicyclistperiscopes….Nowt wrong with Thats Life it gave us dogs that said sausages , high street sing alongs and the quite wonderful Adam Curtis, whose quite wonderful documentry is currently showing on the BBC Iplayer, watch it, it is rather good….on the down side it gave us Esther Rantzen…but still.

^with

do you know where Hyacinth Bucket lives cause even the coucil estates seem quite nice.

@ Uni…Eugh god jesus, deep fried pizza…never tried haggis though. My now veggie wife says I would probably like it too, but its the whole sheep bladder thing I ain't to keen on
