When you hear the music
You take a dip
Into someone else's pocket
Then take a trip
Steal a car, go to Las Vegas
Ooh, gigolo blue
Hangin' out by the state lineTurnin' holy water into wineDrinkin' it down
Oh, I'm on a bus
On a psychedelic trip
Readin' murder books
Tryin' to stay hip
I think of you
and you're not there so

I have a friend who told me years ago that he saw an actual license plate that read ANUSTART. Now I wonder if that's sort of like people who say they watched Zsa Zsa ask Johnny Carson if he'd like to pet her pussy.

It was the first part of summer vacation, and I remember watching this when it was originally broadcast. I was too naive to even think that the guy was running the game, just that he seemed kinda creepy the way he stared at the board and didn't do the whole "big bucks, no whammies" thing that everybody else did.

To actually answer your question, stop somewhere after Calvert left, then just drop in from time to time to see if anything interesting is happening. This article is right, don't  start with the Calvert stuff, but I would hesitate to sell it short, either.

I still enjoy "The Joy of Tattooing", featuring Tim Blake Nelson doing a spot-on Bob Ross impersonation. But yes, I had forgotten about the Sports Lady, and with good reason. Raging Bullwinkle is definitely the highlight of the series.

My one line review of GD has always been: A movie so great, not even Andie MacDowell can ruin it.

It's actually called "manualism", and the earliest recorded practitioner of the technique is Cecil Dill, whom many (i.e., just me) consider to be the Father of Modern Manualism. As soon Traverse City, Michigan answers my email, I'll have his birthday, and we can declare it Official Manualism Day. Hand Farts For

Does anyone else enjoy singing "the Vic Tayback!" when listening to James Brown's "The Payback"? No? It's just me, then? That's fine.

I hated Alan Ball before it was hip. I've never been hip anyway, so nyeah. I though I just didn't like American Beauty, but then I saw most of Six Feet Under and the first few episodes of True Blood and realized I was able to put a name and specific emotion to all this pretentious crap people kept recommending to me.

Sure. Barely a year after I finally got a around to buying all the reissues plus the import box set. Looks like I'll be trading those in to cover a fraction of the cost of this set.

I'd say this is cause for a Set List, Gateways to Geekery, or Primer article. Any one will do. Especially since just last Friday I picked up a 2-on-1 of Facts of Life/Don't Know What This World Is Coming To. Fantastic.

The Thrown Ups. If only for:
1. Person In My Bowel (Is Sad)
2. My Cock Is The Coin
3. Scabby Like My Love
4. Stock Boy, Superhero
5. Melancholy Girlhole

Soft Machine, yes. Gong, hell yes. The "Radio Gnome Trilogy" (Flying Teapot, Angel's Egg, and You) are mind trips of the best order. And they greatly influenced Acid Mother's Temple (and many, many others), so there's that.

Steve Hackett's first solo album, Voyage of the Acolyte, is actually pretty good. It was recorded between The Lamb and Trick of the Tail, which explains why it sounds like a collection of Lamb outtakes (that's not a slam). The rest…eh. And as brilliant as he is in the context of Genesis, Tony Banks' solo albums only
