They showed it right in the episode.  When Mac asked Dantana to show the raw footage you can see one of the players and a red suddenly jump positions in the basketball game on TV while the general is talking.

Heh, I was wondering, since that came straight off of Jim coaching Neil to order very little (and nothing that required cooking) if that was him playing along or if he had ulterior motives.

I didn't get that he missed on purpose, I think he was just legitimately surprised they started a dog and pony show and was unprepared to throw a football through a tire.

The scene of Dantana editing the tape to give a false impression now makes last week's scene of everyone freaking out about Maggie's mistake with the Zimmerman 911 tape make sense.

Best Neil moment ever.

Excellent, the Newsroom rolls on for the 2nd week in near-perfect form.

Mac didn't tell him that he couldn't do it for the betterment of the world, she told him that he couldn't do it on her show because it wasn't the proper forum, it's a news program, not a talk show.

Based on the interview from the previous episode, I don't think the wrongful termination suit is from Maggie, she looked like she was being called to testify for the company, not against it.

I liked the Mac vs D-lister scene as well.  As for the others you mentioned:

Fishercat -

Pill had already been nude (well, topless) on film though, so it's not quite as big a deal.

I suppose I can understand a news organization wanting to make it clear that there was no bias in a report, but at the same time the edited clip made it sound like Zimmerman followed him because he was black, which was exactly why Zimmerman followed him.

I think a gradual coming to terms to what she went through seems believable.  The one thing I didn't like was Maggie going off at one point about how she likes sex and how the slut label is a double standard against women who enjoy it, and then later hinting that she's picking up guys because she's afraid to sleep

The show works the best when they're actually involved in the broadcast.  There have been plenty of investigative/prep scenes that have worked really well also, but it has the greatest chance of falling off the rails a bit when they leave the studio and start paying too much attention to the private home lives of the

I must have missed that line.  Maybe he e-mailed her letting her know it was available and sent her a link?  When she clicks to download it looks like she's doing it from a web page, not from an e-mail.

For Mr. VanDerWoof  -

Hands down the best episode of the season thus far, though I do prefer a couple from last season by a narrow margin.

Dark/discolored skin (and often the lips) are a possible side effect of antimalarials, which Maggie was on for the Africa trip.

They totally lampshaded it.
