That's fair.

So do you not understand that deriving all of one's moral judgments based on what three people tell you to think constitutes heteronomous morality?

…Al Gore sucks, though. That has nothing to do with one's feelings on global warming. He's like a Bernie Bro's caricature of Hillary.

Thank the AVC for changing their relationship with Disqus, haha. My "Disqus Avatar" is of Daniel LaRusso, but this site wouldn't let me change it.

Have a nice night, kiddo! When you learn how to understand, or advance, an articulate argument, I'd be happy to continue this conversation.

…what skills?

Maybe the issue is that you're not good enough at writing to clearly communicate your argument?

Ah, you're selling yourself short.

Or are you just bad at reading, writing and thinking?

So, to be clear, is your argument that organizing a larger amount of people to protest in favor of human rights is equivalently "shitty to other human beings" as using institutional authority to repress those rights?

Dude, I've made plenty of arguments to the contrary throughout this thread.

Wait…so your argument is that you don't think that people believe that their self-appointed moral righteousness justifies their being shitty to other human beings?

Yeah!

Huh?

…is the issue that do you not know what the term "heteronomous morality" means?

Oh, Bernie Bros are exactly that type of person.

Eh, that's not surprising, funny or notable.

Protesters weren't being shitty. Bull Connor was.

I wish it was less noteworthy, dude.

Yeah, I grew out of libertarianism when I turned 20 (like most people do), but increasing legal consequences in order to deny people their liberty and ability to participate in the free enterprise of a capitalist state is pretty fucking antithetical to the philosophy.
