It cracks me up, though, because the book ends with Strauss realizing "Jesus Christ, these people are empty shells without any capacity for original thought, and who view every human interaction as a power struggle…which is why they need cheat codes to attract women."

It's also a great place to discover fucking fantastic music, and is why I've been listening to Sturgill Simpson and Chris Stapleton since 2013 (not to mention guys like Turnpike and Isbell, whom I almost certainly still wouldn't have heard of by now).
