Yeah, but the American people are stupid. They lied about Saddam having WMDs, but they never claimed he was behind 9/11.

It's called "Google."

Bush gave his "War on Terrorism" speech on September 20th, 2001.

I mean…I know it's nice for the narrative, but the banner was for the crew of an aircraft carrier that had just finished a 10 month deployment.

…do those 9 months include his 75 weeks of flight training, from 1968 to 1970, following which he was promoted to 1st lieutenant, haha?

HW didn't prop up right wing dictators, and raised taxes when was necessary.

Nixon was pretty much Bill Clinton, policy wise.

HW was a great fucking president. Nixon-level foreign policy genius, without the whole "evil, paranoid asshole" thing.

Yeah, as much of an asshole as W could be, it's kind of silly to complain about a fighter pilot walking around in a flightsuit.

Yeah, he surrounded himself with too many CIA guys, so he was absolutely fucked once an international crisis hit.

I know the AVC is based in Chicago, so their skyline is intact, but it's pretty fucking idiotic to claim the "War on Terror" was "launched under fake auspices."

K.

It's the most recent work of his that I've encountered, and it was great. He's starting to earn his pretension.

Huh. My thought while seeing Miller's standup is that I enjoy him playing a character much more than I do his actual bit.

Dude went to a Christian college and has only ever dated his wife. I doubt he's ever slept with anyone else, and I doubt he even slept with her before they were married.

The KKK joke was actually really funny. The delivery wasn't there (because the character isn't good at stand-up), but you can understand why Miller sees enough to help him out.

He was pretty great as Batman in those College Humor videos. Only funny thing they've done in years, honestly.

Superman: American Alien is pretty damn near a classic. His films have pretty consistently had interesting ideas, and questionable direction…which is hard to blame the screenwriter for.

Seriously.

Seriously.
