Man, there isn't an industry-wide practice of remaking sequels yet, is there? They should get right on that.

Hey now, I'm all for character development and plot. What I'm not keen on is the idea that using the most gracefully interactive and variable method for delivering a series of connected events is better off presenting linear stories which essentially treat player involvement like treats in dog training.

I haven't a clue why people are so excited about video games being like movies now. Shouldn't they, being a different medium, have their own narrative structures to exploit?

Alas, they are doing the whole "TONIGHT, SOMEBODY DIES" thing (and Heroes guy is listed as a possible casualty). Also, I believe they are just moving the main character to a different office, though the eruption of a world war would give the actual spy plots a certain narrative thrust.

That will hopefully speed its way to cancellation… Though I admit I'm curious as to why the show seems to be both killing off a cast member and shifting setting.

Any ideology-based institution, really. Religion, government, academia, internet comments…
