She had a whole season of being profoundly incompetent, and if she remained so for this season there would have been zero drama. I'll allow a rebound on her part if it allows for a stirring Dany/Jon comeback in episode 7.

I would never do that…to you.
That was already one of the best lines in the show's history. Revisiting it last night after six freaking seasons only made it better.
I was worried about that too after Cersei went for poetic justice with Tyene and Ellaria, but then I remembered that Jamie and Cersei didn't know who killed Joffrey so they wouldn't know to use The Strangler. Then Olenna made damn sure that everybody remembered that Jamie and Cersei didn't know who killed Joffrey.
Definitely awkward, but if the point was to show how becoming the Three Eyed Raven has completely disconnected Bran from humanity/normalcy, then mission accomplished.
I'm going B+ as well, though I feel like the barrier for what constitutes a B+ has been raised this season. Part of that is that "The Winds of Winter" showed what the show is really capable of, but part of that is that the massive amounts of in-show history that is now paying off makes everything feel more important…
How Was Your Pop Culture Weekend?
I am PISSED over all this. Pissed, pissed, pissed.
Ugh, I don't even want to think about that.
This will be fun!
The post so nice, I liked it with both my accounts.

It's a classic pro wrestling move. Turn heel so the people hate you, which means that when you turn face they'll love you even more.
People tend to blame the party in power when stuff goes wrong even when it's the fault of the previous party, true. This is a case where they will really be pushing that narrative and there are some really stupid people out there, but you'd think most people would be able to see through it.
It's like McCain intentionally engineered a stirring climax to the made-for-TV movie he hopes will eventually be made about his life.
Hopefully the people are smart enough to know to blame him if/when it does due to Republican inaction, because you know he's gonna try and blame Obama.
Mike White gotta eat.
Congrats! Night librarian?
