I got caught up on the past few episodes of Agents of SHIELD, which is in the midst of its best run of episodes since the post Winter Soldier episodes of S1 and possibly its best ever. I also watched American Gods, which is pretty much exactly what I hoped it would be.

That would be a good title if it weren't actually the title.

How Was Your Pop Culture Weekend?

Yeah, at this point Thanos really doesn't make sense as an Avengers villain. He's got zero emotional connection to anything they've been through whereas he's been the prime emotional mover for several of the Guardians, especially Nebula. I know Marvel can't back out of pitting Thanos against the Avengers at this

I thought they'd be going in the direction of the thing you said in your first spoiler back when one of the trailers came out, and I'm even more convinced after seeing it. If this means we are getting the big events of the second half of the DnA run in later films, I am SO HERE FOR IT.

There really isn't much point to paying attention to the East in the playoffs until LeBron retires. He just sweeps his way to the finals every damn year.

Yeah, but I'm sitting in the United States, a land where 74% turnout is only achievable in situations that include free t-shirts fired from a cannon and a Beyoncé halftime performance.

Now that's how you punch a Nazi.

That's an impressively low number from where I'm sitting.

I wonder if it is friends with the turtle in China that smokes two packs a day.

Best one they've put out so far.

It's also new Dunkirk trailer day!

Hey, it's Sense8 day! I didn't even realize. It feels like the Christmas special just came out last month.

That's not a bad comparison. It's a lovingly done spoof/homage that understands Trek better than a good bit of Trek does. I love it and you should definitely watch it if you have never seen it. Or if you have.

Either of those can be too long if not done well. Better Call Saul can work wonders with 13 because Vince Gilligan is a TV genius, but the Marvel Netflix shows struggle because they just haven't figured out how to pace things. SHIELD has found a smart way to deal with a full network order by essentially making into

Yup, that's the stuff that LU really excels at in comparison to other wrestling shows. The focus is more on the story telling than in something like WWE, and the in ring product is damn entertaining as well.

Because the internet runs on outrage, preferably outrage that the ragers do not even understand.

I'm still a couple episodes behind, but I can already say that Arrow made the wise decision of unmasking its big bad midway through the season instead of holding it for the end of the season. Unknown Big Bad to Known Big Bad is almost like a soft reboot of the season and prevents stories from getting too stale or

Against all odds, Johnny Depp does not sport the strangest facial hair in Murder on the Orient Express.
