Aw man :(

I recently got a like on a comment I made on The Dissolve. It made me sad that it is gone but happy that people are still reading it. I still pop in over there every so often if I watch something I remember them having covered.

Best answer possible.

Film

Smackdown is really good these days. It's telling logical stories with logical stakes that make logical sense. It's almost impossible for me to believe that it and Raw are being booked by the same guy.

I guess it makes sense when you consider Vince's "Wrestlemania is for the casuals" stance. Use Fastlane to set up Goldberg vs. Lesnar to draw in the casual fans and at the same time build Jericho/KO to a crescendo. The former doesn't need the Universal Title to be a draw, though. It's not what is best for business in

So Lesnar is going to win the title at Mania, and then what? He vanishes off to his farm for five months and holds the belt hostage again? And then what? Roman beats him like Vince wanted him to at Mania a couple years ago? I can't see them giving Samoa Joe or Strowman the rub, which means it is Roman Uber Alles

How Was Your Pop Culture Weekend?

S2 is even better.

Well, I was single for a long time.

The second half of this season in particular did a wonderful job with the callbacks. Not just recurring leitmotifs , but reprises and characters quoting lyrics in dialogue. It makes the history of the show feel so present and tactile and was a really smart move.

It's stupid, but Atlanta sports needed a win so I'm not gonna complain.

Oh yeah, A-, probably the best made X-film yet.

My big takeaway from the film was that endings are powerful things. Kind of a groundbreaking concept when dealing with a mega-franchise. Take decades of character development and use it to actually end a character's story as opposed to continuing it in perpetuity, and you can create something truly unique.

THANK YOU!

WHY DID NOBODY TELL ME GALAVANT WAS ON NETFLIX?!?

Well that was unexpected.

Pshaw. We're supposed to think that spying on highly placed Russian assets is a bad thing?

How close to a film's release can we pick it up?

*hug*
