I would be surprised if they aired a series finale that was a surprise/only rumored because I'd imagine they'd want to promote it as such and springing the end on the fanbase would result in an even angrier mob than normal. That said, it also wouldn't surprise me if Moffat had decided to wrap both Sherlock and Doctor

I like your lineup.

Ok, I know that his style rubs some people the wrong way and that lots of folks think he's wearing thin, but Steven Moffat was put on this earth to tell stories that are specifically designed to appeal to me. "The Lying Detective" was SO GOOD.

Listed in order I picked them:

Well, shucks. Here I was thinking I finally had an excuse to get a Kate Hudson fix.

I know, I know. But I have ways of getting on that. Hooray for Filmstruck!

*whispers*

That's actually got me more interested in seeing the film than anything else I've read.

Looks like we might have another Cutthroat Island situation on our hands!

Besides, if any president knew how to sneak hookers into the White House, it was probably Kennedy. Which explains why Trump met with RFK Jr. the other day.

Pshaw. What experience does Obama have dealing with that? Any reports that say otherwise are just a bunch of fake news, if you ask me.

I would have maybe gotten Batman Forever with enough time to think on it.

I believe our new Russian overlords call it злорадство.

Yessssss. Lower that Metacritic score, Ehrlich!

I'm here now!

Oddly enough, I would say Deadpool was the biggest sleeper hit of the year. Even though it's part of the X-Machine, I don't think anybody saw that kind of success coming. It's the highest grossing X-film by $130 million. 10 Cloverfield Lane, too. It definitely came out of nowhere and grossed 5x its budget.

I would still say The Big Short, with MMXXL as a close second. It made the most money out of the three, and it is hard for me to call a Melissa McCarthy vehicle a surprise hit.

What if we turned sleeper hit into an ROI category? Base it off of:

My definition of "sleeper hit" is "film that came out of nowhere to be financially successful". By that definition, the Adam McKay film about the financial crisis beats out the Scott, the Spielberg, the Pixar, the Star Wars, and the film that only made $13 million in the US.
