Also, Claire banged into the cage shortly before, which could have knocked the door loose.

Well, at least they understand him in Berlin.

Yes, it's genius!

"your incessant monologizing fills the castle with ennui" is one of my favorite lines from anything of all time

I think Oliver's ghost-ness is the central irony of the series. Everyone around Geoffrey assumes he's mad, and then when he starts talking to a ghost they can't see, that assumption is confirmed for them. But the audience knows he isn't mad, and that he's being haunted by a frustrating, irritating, goading, yes,

I was surprised Todd netted out so low on this, since he seemed to really like so much of it.

Agree on Roxxxy's dress. I was waiting for the judges to talk about how it looked like she just stapled a roll of mesh packing material onto the front of it, and i thought the hair/makeup were hard-looking. Oh well, shows what I know.

Yeah, with you on this.

Serena is the worst combination of Shangela and Phi Phi, which doesn't bode well for them getting rid of her anytime soon.

Yup, me too. It's increasingly glaring to me.

There is a SERIES of Men With Brooms? Oh my god, is it totally unwatchable?

So outweighed for me, though, by the wonderful case made for poor theater (just the storm effect kills me every time). Well, also EAST HASTINGS!

Many Canadians are still only one generation away from the British Isles, and so grew up with those accents, but it's also a regional thing.

Thank you thank you THANK YOU for this! S&A is one of my all-time favorites. As a former regional theater person (dramaturg) married to a former techincal theater person who also happens to be Canadian, we are in agreement that this is the most dead-on depiction of what life is like in the theater we've ever seen,

This is basically Law & Order: Whitechapel, down to the interviews with minor witnesses who turn out to be more important later, but I liked it. Grabbed me way more than Copper did, for one thing. I look forward to learning more about Drake, too.

i think I'm done. This show was fun when it was about the kids bonded together against the world with Fiona and Lip at the helm, but now it's just random people and random events peppered with degradation.

When Art was talking about the RV, I decided that my dream spinoff would involve Art being sadly widowed after purchasing the RV, and deciding to light out to the west coast to spend his retirement. Upon arrival, he finds a retired cop living in a trailer, and together Art and Unser set up a private eye operation on

I'm getting increasingly unamused by the racist and homophobic jokes on this show. They're not being used to poke fun at a bigoted character, but reinforce the stereotypes.

I agree that the battering of Lily didn't have the right tone or timing to be funny, and wasn't totally taken with the Gloria-Jay petty crime bits, but I liked the rest of this episode. Gloria trying to resist giving birth was a funny spin on the typical sitcom birth episode, and Jay's contentment at having his baby

I felt exactly the same way. Frankly, they gave Carrie more motivation and depth in this first hour than the SATC character reached through the entire series. That's a good thing, but it's hard to reconcile this charming show with the cynical thing SATC eventually became.
