"An interesting development, but a very gloomy one."

I can buy (and myself thought) most of those except point 8 - they specifically flash forward a month, and I'm guessing it was in part to avoid a scene where Will talks in detail about what he experienced. They were probably trying to save some details for S2, and I think it was a clever way of saving that for next

Pretty much my reaction when he was talking about it on Doug Loves Movies.

Most people find getting on horse interferes with productivity. Tends to make you kind of sleepy.

The ending of Untitled gets me every time. So beautiful.

I think calling this "shaming" is pretty reductionist. It's a perfectly well reasoned and intelligent argument.

I think it's a testament to how great Peter Krause was that Nate is still likable despite his slow descent into basically being an irredeemable dick. I actually found Claire to be far more annoying than Nate, for the most part (although Lauren Ambrose was no slouch either).

It could be worse, they could mention Towelhead.

Hasn't Ball had quite a few false starts with HBO? I feel like I remember hearing he was supposed to be developing a show about crime scene cleaners a few years ago along with one or two others. It sounded pretty interesting but obviously nothing ever came of it.

I just kept thinking of Tom's campaign video for Leslie where he was imitating Freeman.

Yeah, I thought this review was pretty insightful which made that comment that much more jarring.

"Equal parts terrifying, lecherous, funny, charming and insane"

Ha! My college roommate went there and followed a similar trajectory. He was a Dubya loving neocon when we met and is a full-throated supporter of BLM and numerous other progressive causes now.

To clarify, this is more what I was suggesting, but I see how it was lost in the shuffle. No one should be expected to willfully engage with people who view them as "lesser than."

Again, you're strawmanning and acting as if racism only occurs in extremes and racism is consistently expressed in some monolithic way. We live in an inherently racist society and plenty of people take on racist beliefs in subtle ways that they may not even realize until they're pointed out to them. No, I don't expect

No but I just read an interview with him and synopsis and it seems pretty on point.

Not trying to give anyone "moral cover" - just trying to point out that you're unlikely to win over people when you endlessly mock and criticize them rather than trying to engage. It doesn't excuse the behavior, but I know my beliefs changed significantly over the past decade and it never happened because someone

^^^ This this this. The left (and I say this as a lifelong Dem) has become incredibly smug to a point where it's not very friendly to a lot of working class people. Trump's quote of "uneducated people love me" (or something to that effect) may have been blatant pandering, but it's more than a lot of folks on the left

By arguing against same-sex marriage you're arguing for denying people rights both symbolic and real. There are serious legal, financial and other benefits to marriage. Until gay marriage became the law of the land, same sex couples were denied these rights. The fact you feel so inclined to split hairs suggests that

A. I also said I wasn't interested in religious reasons. "Sacred bond" clearly falls under that category.
B. You're either an obnoxious pedant or have very little self-awareness if you think that second point about a decades old argument is actually relevant to this conversation.
