Travis Morrison's cover of What's Your Fantasy is one of the few times where I feel like it works well, probably because he commits so hard and you can genuinely feel his love for the song. I feel like most of the time bands are doing it out of some weird sense of irony that makes it feel hacky and bland.

As awful as some elements of that band were, their lead guitarist is actually pretty talented so I could see a band doing something cool with it (though I have to admit I forget if that particular song has any cool guitar work and don't care enough to listen to again and find out).

Is that worth checking out? The only other Max Fun podcast I've listened to was Can I Pet Your Dog?, which I found pretty underwhelming (though the theme song is great!). I hear consistently great things about The Flophouse too.
