Douay-Rheims-Challoner: I know Rockne O'Bannon was one of the main people(or main person) behind Defiance, but didn't he walk away from it some time ago to focus on his other show, Cult? I hope that's not the case and that I'm mistaken because I'm really excited about Defiance. Then again, it's airing on Syfy, so the

I'm right there with you Nilus. After you get over the fact that there are puppets in Farscape and just except it, you really get drawn into their characters(Pilot & Rygel). The range of emotions that the puppeteers are able to display/express can be amazing. Perfect example, "The Way We Weren't". The range of emotion

"Taking the Stone" gets my vote for the worst episode of Farscape ever. Actually, the first 3 to 4 episodes of the 2nd season were a bit of a letdown compared to how great Farscape had become by the end of the 1st season.

You tell 'em Claude! I always wondered if you're a fellow Bulldog owner? Is that a picture of your Bully that you use for your profile?

Yeah, I bought that album and it was terrible(I really love almost all of the stuff before it). It turned me off so much, that I haven't bought a newer album of theirs since. Am I missing out on anything?

I watched this for the first time about 4 years ago without hearing a single song of their music and then went on a yearlong Brian Jonestown Massacre bender. It was a very good year.

mrm 1138: You made a very good point(and something I never even thought of) about the ending of Lonesome Dove. I'd say 90% of westerns ends with the showdown you described above. It is unconventional, but that's what makes Lonesome Dove so great. Well, that and many other things, but I don't have the time and I'm sure

This is really a great documentary(especially if you're a Tribe fan), but man, does Q-Tip come off as the ultimate dick in this. I just felt bad for Phife during half this film.

Reginald VelJohnson: Thanks for the reminder on "Cure for Pain". I saw the trailer for this months ago and I couldn't find it anywhere. I just checked Amazon again and they've finally got some in stock. Purchasing it right away. I'm a huge Morphine fan and I've been dying to see it. I assume I won't be disappointed?

Yes, "Dig!" definitely needs to show up here. I can't think of a more entertaining music documentary.

SPOILERS

Finally got around to starting "Lonesome Dove" about a week ago. I've been meaning to read it after watching the mini-series a few years back. Best western ever made.

Great fucking question. Where's "Father Figure" & "I Want Your Sex"?!

Deadwood is one of the finest shows ever, but it's worth watching alone just for the Al & Wu's exchanges.

Yeah, I really can't think of another show that's had a better ending. The last episode is actually the #1 rated episode of the entire series over at Geos.

Dutch + Cat = The most disturbing/hard to watch moments of television that I've ever seen.

What's this Fat Lip documentary you speak of?

We were using Zig Zags back in 93'. That or Garcia Vegas. And they were being used quite a bit while this album was on constant rotation. Bizarre Ride was beyond huge out here in CA in the early 90's.

Blasphemy!
