I saw "Taken" for the first (& hopefully only) time a couple of months ago. It was so insultingly stupid I fast forwarded through most of it. The main thing that stunned me was the Maggie Grace character. She this rich child of Los Angeles (there are no worse kids than rich L.A. kids), looks 35 and acts 12. WTF? I

I'm a "Hellblazer" fan since day one and I like "Constantine", but not as a "Hellblazer" movie. "Constantine" is an L.A. crime/private eye film laced with black magic. Keanu is good, but he isn't "John Constantine" despite the name. It has some great supporting characters (Tilda Swinton & Peter Storemare), but Shia is

Admittedly, I'm in a party of only three or four, but I genuinely like "Quantum of Solace". Intentional or not, it plays as a tough, nasty, blood-soaked coda to "Casino Royale", picking up immediately after the first film's ending. It takes a couple of viewings to make the wildly crazed action scenes cohere into a

Agreed on the photo. Great shot.

Exactly. "The Sting" is damn near perfect entertainment (& is very emblematic of the great '70s films).

Love her. That is all.

Absolutely agree. "Hook" is awful, annoying and enraging. Just seeing that punk Rufio's picture up top makes me want to punch him & everyone else involved in the face. "Ruuuufio!!!!" Christ.

"Bad Education". Almodovar.

"Casa De Mi Padre" is the Spanish "Black Dynamite". It was much funnier than I expected and absolutely reminded me of "Black Dynamite" ("Fellas, we goin' on a boat ride to…Kung Fu Island!") I could have stayed and watched it again. Also, stick around through the end credits for one last joke.

Wow, great interview. John Schuck is a welcome presence in any show he pops up in. As a child of the Seventies I remember him fondly from NBC's "McMillan & Wife" (& the Altman films). BTW, "Random Roles" is superb in concept and execution. More, please!

Loved the Elephant Parts sketch with Nesmith as Cole Porter going home see his Okie family in Dust Bowl era Oklahoma. Insanely inspired.

I, too, was hoping you might touch on "The Hot Rock". Liebman (& everyone else for that matter) is great in that film. Love how Murch listens to the soundtracks of Indy car races in his garage & whenever he arrives at a location he has to give, in minute detail, the streets he took to arrive, "I took the Eisenhower

I was obsessed with "The Super Cops" book when I was in middle school. I read it over & over again (along with a number of other true crime/cop books). I saw the adaptation at the Thunderbird drive-in & naturally the movie couldn't live up to the advanced hype in my head. I remember the movie being overly cartoonish &

Yep, that was in "The Streets of San Francisco". One of the scariest TV moments when I was a kid.
