The 'In Our Time' podcast (in New (To Us)), isn't a podcast as such, but a radio program made available as a pod. As such, it's frustrating because it's apparently recorded live, and can't be edited, hence the occasional rambling mentioned above. It does have a bit of an 'academic-blinking-myopically-in-the-sunlight'

Lana Del Rey (wool of the king, en español). I like her, for what it's worth, but I'm sure none of the team of lawyers and managers who came up with the name have any idea what it means.

Wow-lots of negativity tonight.

I'm cautiously optimistic, based on the review, despite being burned so often on new shows (The Room, Terriers, Surface….).

Calm down, calm down.

What a wuss-she's a week old, and that bitch is already running his life.

I'll be careful.

This might be the first time I don't bother to tune in. "condem", nice.

Are we counting from zero or one? Zeroes or firsties?

Who cares? LIFE AND TIMES OF TIM is back! Stu-balls > Roger Sterling, Keith > Chauncey The Boss > Burt Cooper Tim > DD

Soapy, yes. It's very much a soap. Well shot, beautifully designed, intricately scripted, but still a soap. But melodrama? It's way too subdued for that.

The guy with the talcum.

What kind of twine-hater strikes a cord? I prefer the music-related metaphor "to strike a chord". It's just better, I guess.

The girl who played Sienna looks like Jodie Foster, but I didn't check the end credits, and there's nothing in the critique about it being her, so I'll just assume it's not.

That's why she keeps Brad around.

Bane just has those bodybuilder milkshakes.

JRR Tolkien was Professor of Doorknobs at Cambridge University.

There's a pretty well made fanfilm called The Hunt for Gollum which covers that, done in the Jackson LOTR style.
