I wondered why they didn't try to conserve the energy they had. Instead they turned on enormous lights and monitors and had a full-on cinema-style presentation of basic biology (and zombie infection).

Is it MoM where the explorers figure out a whole history and cosmology of an alien race come to Earth from looking at some ancient friezes? A faithful adaptation of that doesn't sound exactly gripping, 3D or no.
Another heartbreaking horror film, espesh for parents/divorced parents is 'Dark Water'; the good (ie Japanese) one. More sad than scary, in the final analysis.
