The president still hasn't called, no ma'am.

I've liked the chilly mystery of Marjorie. And how Selina can't stand her for more than a minute.

Considering the ghastly state of our own real-world politics where the GOP and the Russians are strangling this country to death, Selina's expulsion to the wilderness makes perfect sense (though I know she is of no identifiable party to we the viewers.) Your faith in how these things should work is great, but

I'd burn out on that pretty quickly, no offense.

I kinda flashed that she had Elaine-ish hair at Catherine's birth, but I might be mistaken. It certainly was no, "WALL of hair! It needs to be higher!". But there was the suggestion?

Do you paint, CineCraft? That's wonderful, I didn't know that. It's a beautiful thing to do and put your mind/eye/ and hand to. Good to get away from glowing screens.
(BFA grad painting here.)

I think he's fully aware of what he did. To fifty or more women. He knows what he did all right.

It's seriously alarming, this multi-pronged assault on a free press and the media. It's fascist and authoritarian, and the Republicans love the shit out of it, so they can do their dirty deeds under the cover of darkness and discredit the media for exposing what they're up to. This crucial health care bill is the

Agree, and great point about "Ashes to Ashes". Thinking now of how inspirational the space program was for artists, back then.

Thanks for the link! Yeah, Blade Runner is pretty dystopian, moody and atmospheric. There are so many dystopian movies/franchises around, many based on YA books, but they seem to want it both ways for a young (er) audience. The dystopia but also to seem like a fun adventure too. It's hard to have it both ways.

I LOVE THIS THEORY AND AM ADOPTING IT

Yeah! I agree, Darryl Hannah was so striking. I'm not sure Debbie would be down for the athletic murderous cartwheels, heh.

"Aayla Secura guards my investments on my road to retirement, with no annual fees. I trust it, and so should you."

Drives his wife crazy, puttering and muttering in their Palm Springs home in a bathrobe all day. "Why don't you get a hobby or something, Alan?". Her kvetching about him at the ladies' bridge game, Tuesday nights, you wouldn't believe from.

I have read the original story, and seen the John Byrne pencils where they managed to "deactivate" Phoenix , while Jean still lived. And I read about the editorial fights- Jim Shooter insisted Jean had to be punished, and this is the odd part- he needed this because comics were for kids and they were still bound

So, I don't even watch TV properly anymore, my Internet-induced ADD is too strong. But I do leave the TV on in the background, usually to the news, usually MSNBC (which has its own problems with suckdom). Switch to TCM when the repetitive ads drive me crazy, as they do.

That was mean to do to your mother. Whatever its qualities, Mullholland Drive twists itself into incomprehensibility. Unless you want to spend hours of your brief mortal life on Earth researching what people think David Lynch really meant as was going for. Life's too short, and Lynch is kind of a sadist to his

I absolutely defy and reject any attempt to make that hideous muppet represent the gay community in any way. It's a stunt, we homos dit our best to keep the standards of art, aesthetics, personal liberty, beauty and literature UP in the twentieth century.

I've never liked Blade Runner very much, so it's great to see someone else have less than "OMG awesome" shit to say about it,- I'm hesitant now because I don't want to step on Franko's take, which is always fresh and original and a must -read. Hope it's okay if I just give my own, from when the movie was new.
