Always a solid choice. I like to do this one around Christmastime, myself, as a bit of a break from more traditional Christmas films.

Great comment for that video (and great fucking song, btw):

Yeah, they're both drenched in this oppressively creepy atmosphere that by itself would be enough to place them as near-classics even without everything else about them being great too.

Personally I'd have some movies higher: I Walked with a Zombie, Dr. Phibes, Carnival of Souls, The Haunting, The Shining, Jaws, and The Innocents probably make my top-ten.

"really makes a meal of the more disgusting parts of [Gein's] story"

Good list! Quibbles about placements, but of course there would be with something so large (phrasing). Bookmarked to watch some of these at some point.

One of my favorite Cronenbergs! Some great imagery in that.

Your part 4 link is broked, both here and on your blog.

Anyone watching horror movies tonight, as 'tis the season?

Oh, I'd only seen it twice. Disregard.

Haha, I might actually get that shirt printed up sometime.

Seriously. If they really want a kids' series to get up in arms about, read His Dark Materials.

"First, I was delivered by Jesus Christ of all these demons, and my husband was into witchcraft."

1. A couple friends of mine dressed as Walt and Jesse in their yellow hazmat suits one year. That was cool.

I guess I'll take Dec. 11, to get a Black/White Christmas dichotomy going on.

This had less to do with RuPaul than I was hoping.

Racist.

Speaking of comics, I just fully caught up with Locke and Key and holy shit. Don't know if you've read it, but I'm loving it.
