Actually, make it a double feature of City of God and Salaam Bombay! In fact, I'm sure there are a whole host of better movies made in/about India. It's the only one of the Best Picture nominees I've seen; I may see Benjamin Button at some point, but overall, I see nothing worth getting excited about on that list.

Stella was in fine form last night. You have to tell us, though, if they do a bit about the Seattle Stomp.

Toothpaste, pizza, lamps, Jackie Chan…

Spoken like a true hater of freedom.

I thought I was alone in preferring Buttercup. She seems to get the least amount of play on the show, though. Her episodes always feel the most perfunctory.

I pictured Milhouse, but Nelson is a better fit.

No one's watching your commie Canadian YouTube today, my friend!

It wasn't Kattan, it was Dr. Leo Spaceman himself, Chris Parnell. And he is good in it, but the movie as a whole is pretty dull.

Fireworks, definitely. One of their best. And Bluish off the new album is wonderful, too. Just a straight up pop song, hold the freakouts.

You could always follow it up with a Dratch.

Reading "Never Let Me Go" was like watching "Parts: The Clonus Horror" without Mike and the bots.

I need… parsley!
Just kidding.

Mirrors
I love picturing Kiefer pointing a gun at himself in a mirror, screaming "WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR?!" If the movie was two hours of that, I'd watch it.

Not a phantom post after all
I thought this was one of those gag posts that got put in the RSS feed before the conversion, like "Hear me out: Mein Kampf has some good ideas" and "Husker Du and Jawbreaker to reunite for Kyle Ryan's 33rd birthday". Nice to see it in real life.

And up next for Sly - a little movie called "The Expendables". With Mickey Rourke. And Forrest Whitaker. And Dolph Lundgren. And Jason Statham and Jet Li. I'm not really one for the "more is more" school of action movies, but that sounds pretty spectacular.

I have to check and see if Martyrs hit the torrent sites yet, or if I'm just gonna have to keep waiting. Wikipedia says Feb. 24th for the American DVD.
