"Sleep, now."
-The Strangers, Dark City

I'm curious as to the CCTV coverage. Was there one in the barn where MIB dragged Dolores? If not - if there's some blank spaces for Guests to do what they want in without any record (imagine the blackmail possibilities for highly-placed individuals shown going on a rape spree, even against robots) - that would be a

On one level, I hope we see more of the outside world for reasons like this (maybe there's really strict NDAs for Guests, but of course nothing is perfect…), but there's also a case for keeping the outside away from the main storyline.

I took the kid as being a Guest, but interesting suggestion.

Considering the possibility that Man In Black is not necessarily raping Dolores (or, as implied, Maeve)… is instead implanting the Violent Delights phrase.

That's a really interesting, and deeply creepy, possibility.

Interesting series of Twitter comments by games critic Leigh Alexander on the show, especially as a close parody of games design meetings:
Re. Lee's new game mode offering, "This is a near-perfect model of the insulting presentations I spent my career in the game industry sitting thru. Just needs more gel spikes."

A title used later by The Bonzo Dog Do-Dah Band.

Are you familiar with the work of photographer Cindy Sherman Allie Mann? Hugely controversial because she put pics of her naked kids on gallery display.
Nothing prurient - just kids playing.

And I know for a fact she has really weird tastes.

Standards have risen round here since Amelie left the Tolerability Index.

Makes sense.

'Star Trek TOS: Day of the Dave'

I am still annoyed Queen Of Earth isn't a sequel to Jupiter Ascending.

Did you see anyone sat out in it because it was a left-wing hoax?

The bit you have in spoiler space is supposedly the focus of S2.

Good to know! I had hopes from the pilot that it might be the first good one in the series.

Compelling non-white actors, specifically.

Despite its many sins, they *nailed* the rising of the Phoenix Force.
