It's like living in a bad would you rather.

It's his business but I wonder if the whole post-Brexit mood has affected people's feelings about wanting to stay. Things seem calmer again now but just after the vote, I heard people openly using racial slurs and "send them back" style rhetoric that I had hoped was done with or at least confined to an unpleasant but…
It's been a while since I read Inherent Vice from start to finish but my perception was that it's slightly easier to follow than a lot of Pynchon novels because the action stays with Doc. Obviously there's still a cast of thousands that he meets but there's more of a through-line than a lot of the books.
It'll never work Werdup! I can't love Predator enough!
If it helps the seasons up to the end of S3 get progressively better. I think some of the plots in S1 are too slight and there aren't enough non-Maron characters for him to interact with at that point.
I'm scared my own country (UK) wants to relive the 20th Century, only this time we apparently want to be 1910s-1940s Germany.
I think it's still a thing but just increasingly flaky. You sometimes have to sign back in and refresh the page to get the notifications sidebar to work.
With barre chords you have to practice regularly to strengthen your hand (yeah I know). Also once you have a solid barre for strumming, the next step is to get a good sound while switching chord shapes/to different notes within the barre (you have to do this a ton in classical).
I loved Inherent Vice so much. I think besides the way it is shot, the major strength is the casting. Phoenix is terrific in it, he really manages to make you feel for Doc.
The Bugle has already released it's post Trump episode but I haven't had chance to listen yet so I'm looking forward to that.
Uh, from one Brit to another, I would not bet against Trump engaging in some form of military intervention/police action/whatever he'll call a war when he doesn't want to use the word war.
I liked the bit with Gerald saying that to Kyle because a) it was funny and set up Ike's funnier line and b) it was perhaps a subtle point about how maybe if we spend all our time online being awful, some of it is going to spill out into our offline interactions where there tends to be more immediate consequences to…
I'm two days late to the party but thank you and well-said. For reasons I can't fathom, I've spent some time arguing about this stuff on the Guardian and I'm tired of being accused of being part of the elite or something because I wanted to stay in the EU.
Gilmore Girls can be very uplifting, in that watching it is like going home sometimes but it also made me cry a lot. Any time Rory/Lorelai has a milestone, any time someone has a health crisis or an accident and any time Lauren Graham or Kelly Bishop are playing Lorelai and Emily while very upset because they are damn…
I think it would be funny if TBCC introduced themselves every single week like the Babysitters do ;-) #haveIStaceymentionedthatIhaveDiabetes?
I liked Wyatt Cenac as a Bugle guest host. He had some funny quips about the US election. The John Oliver impression joke was a long walk though ;-)
Thanks :-)
What podcast was this on, an NPR one? Do you have a link or a name? (I'm in the UK and only know Terry Gross from her interview with Maron).
I continued listening to the Worst Bestsellers podcast.
Squigglevision Ray was cute. I also liked squigglevision Louis C.K and Steven Wright.
