I'm glad I saw this. I definitely want to listen to that episode of Dino and Andy's Skull Juice.
This seems like an ill-advised idea for an undergrad English project that ends up getting you a low grade.
Fair enough. Personally I felt like it was slightly Justified :-)
I didn't find this episode so bleak. Finch, Root and Reese manage to save the Machine in some form against some overwhelming odds. I also loved Reese's version of God mode with the Machine versus Root's.
I always liked this mean joke about it from one of our newspapers where it was referred to as Harry Potter and the Long Pointless Preamble to the Death of A Significant Character ;-)
If you are back that way again and you like comedy, it's worth dropping into the 99 Club. It's a nightclub with impromptu seating in it but I've enjoyed it every time I've gone and it isn't very expensive (about £10-£12 to watch usually four comedians perform).
The play sounds really cool. Whereabouts is the Wyndham? Is it near the main theatre district?
Casablanca.
I'm hoping to watch some TV tonight but so far this weekend has been all about podcasts. I'm continuing to listen to Harmontown and I also listened to the latest Dana Gould hour which was interesting and benefited from a new guest, Emma Arnold.
I love the Jack/Sydney relationship. My favourite bits are when Jack busts Syd out of NSA custody and when anyone asks Jack for permission to marry Syd :-)
To be fair, Buffy feels like Joyce can never understand her because she is a teenager. Joyce actually got pretty cool about their weird life in the later seasons.
I would probably pick Dr Katz and Ben as well. They have an easygoing bond and Dr Katz is really patient with the obviously somewhat lost Ben.
Comment hug :-)
I thought it could have been a really great show with fewer episodes. I watched it and enjoyed it at the time but being so tied to the list in S1 and S2 made some of it feel repetitive.
If it helps, I really enjoy reading your pieces. All the best, Will.
I really enjoyed that show in the early going and it had some good clever episodes. But I think having so many episodes a season killed it. The premise meant it got quite repetitive and it took a bit of a soapy turn towards the end.
It certainly was.
I'm from England not Canada :-)
I'd be curious to know where people are posting from on this one. The reporting of this in the UK was quite different.
