It's funny and impressive, trust me :-)
If there are still Buglers among you, Andy has said he's going to put an announcement on Twitter about dates and guests in the next week or so.
I feel like this is something he's drastically improved on but even in the earlier podcasts there are people he's clearly more in awe of and he doesn't tend to do it so much then.
They need Rory to help them stop freezing one another out though ;-) (or certainly they did in the beginning).
Yeah it's a shame Lorelai isn't there to realise her Mum just needs pointing at more worthy targets ;-)
Yeah that's really sad when she's near tears and want to fix everything. On the other hand though Lindsey's mum Teresa makes me a bit cross when she's yelling at Rory and Lorelai in the street because I was thinking "this is why you don't encourage your daughter and her boyfriend of ten minutes to get married at 18!"
Heh. It reminds me of when your Mum or Dad defends you to another teacher or a relative or something so you think they aren't also mad. Rookie mistake, Rory ;-)
That look on Lauren Graham's face of longing but holding back when she sees Rory at her 21st birthday party kills me every time.
"Wow. You're probably feeling a lot of conflicted things and this is
going to be tough to sort out. You should think about slowing things
down until you can talk with Dean about what this all means"?
It's quite a downer storyline because it's heavily implied Dean married Lindsey on the rebound and too quickly. Also do you remember that weird scene where Dean basically admits in front of Luke he still loves Rory on a night out before his wedding? It feels like if Dean had encountered Lorelai she would have tried to…
I don't think it was out of character though. Rory sadly has got accustomed to getting what she wants. I don't really like Dean much after S1 but his whole arc is really depressing. Gets stuck on Rory and then marries on the rebound to forget her but basically ends that for a second chance with Rory and then realises…
What I like about Lorelai though is that although she aspires to the friend relationship, she's prepared to be unpopular with Rory and lay down the law if need be from the first episode. In that she insists Rory is going to Chilton.
If you want to impress tell me how to get my AV Club notifications sidebar thingy to work every time. Because the first four or five attempts to read them just opens a Disqus window that leads nowhere.
I think it's important to applaud the commitment to the bit.
Relax Dave it was just a joke ;-p
If I had more time I'd try firing Myst up now. I got it as a present when I was too young to really understand it so I found it pretty but ultimately frustrating ;-)
To quote Rich Hall maybe the poster is having "a crisis of consonants".
John, you rock. Glad you are staying around and we might get those Six Feet Under reviews one day.
Boom :-)
