agreed. to paraphrase Julie Klausner, I dress slutty and act like a creepy weirdo all year round. I don't need Halloween for that.

we'd probably read about it here.

you know, I found his Comedy Central Presents set from a few years ago quite funny. then I tried to watch his Incorrigible special a while back and it was terrible. I couldn't even finish it. the jokes just weren't there.

my heart broke for Valerie the minute she pulled the box of spoons out of the bag. a small gesture that makes a great scene.

I was shocked when he basically said that to her face. but the Alex character has this perfect mixture of obliviousness and self-absorption that I can totally believe he'd be that callous.

best part of that story? the woman was a nurse.

I want to believe.

have you seen The World's End?

yes, thank you. I can't believe more people aren't parsing that horrible story, and pointing out what a cowardly shithead Ben Carson is.

just watched this last night. what increased the sadness of the scene to me was her desperate attempt to survive, yet…there's nowhere for her to go. she's in the middle of nowhere, off a deserted road, walking straight into a snowbank. and yet, she's trying so hard to shuffle away, hoping against all hope that he's

I should have read down a bit before attempting my comment. your summation of the character is perfect.

which is why I love this show and react so poorly to people suggesting she's mentally ill and being enabled by those around her. it seems to me that she's just mildly fucked up in the way that most male sitcom protagonists are. she just happens to be more dramatic about it because it's a musical and there's singing
