as an American who lived in Canada for 8 years, and became a Canadian citizen, I can verify that Canadians have a huge inferiority complex when it comes to America. like a tossed off lover, they think about America all the time, while we go about our obnoxious business, completely forgetting they even exist.

well, an armed society is a polite society, or so the saying goes.

it means that Louie's a comedian, and therefore likely reveres the comedic stylings of Lenny Bruce so much that he framed a vintage poster from one of Bruce's shows.
