Bannon is right. They are clowns. They didn't even start websites that became legitimized and weasel their way into the White House, or use the national media to espouse coded racist language while running for the highest office. You know. Like professional bigots.

What a fragile definition of self they have. The funny thing to me is that this group would agree with the points Netanyahu's son was so kind to chime in with. So they've got black in them and they're agreeing with Jews!

I meant the internet. Nothing else is new.

So do I. The Parental Advisory labels didn't exist until Tipper heard 2 Live Crew. She didn't care about the profanity and overt sexuality that exists in every other form of music. She cared about 2 Live Crew.

I would agree with that.

Nah. Not a fan. I'm curious to see where this all goes though. What a fascinating time to be alive.

Right on. Congratulations. I recommend you start stealing office supplies immediately. Construct a crude set of armor. Tape chairs together. Challenge your co-workers to duels.

Well said, and great point. The slippery slope is what I'm concerned with. Normally I would say your actions matter more than your words, but I can't take that attitude in this case, right? Like, if there's a neo-nazi group out spreading hate, but they've never committed a crime, or even seriously contemplated

I agree. The question seems to be degrees. At least to me. The music they're banning seems incredibly explicit, not only condoning, but encouraging violence against any non-white person. Some of Jedi Mind Tricks lyrics (I'm not posting them) can certainly be perceived as anti-gay, without going to the extremes

You're right. And I'm all for it. Especially in this case. But, they don't really care. Otherwise it wouldn't be there initially. And you're also right that other outlets will jump on this and follow this example. Again, I'm all for it. I'm just worried that the current definition of "hate music" could change.

Both!

Am I the only one slightly concerned that this justified idea could possibly get out of control? And not the idea that virulent racist ideals shouldn't be allowed on formats like the radio. The idea that the definition of hate could expand to things like hip hop. Some of the things you hear are pretty hardcore

Imagine if he had Twitter.

Why were they on there in the first place?

So much semen. So many ruined plates. So brave. So regal.

This has to have been mentioned further downthread, but when a Presidential candidate says racist, sexist, misogynistic, homophobic, and generally awful things and then you vote for him, an apology doesn't matter.

I smell a sitcom!

Thanks for the knowledge. But I'll be damned if I'm not going to spend the next hour or so dreaming about Norrin Radd meeting up with the Guardians to take on Thanos. Even so, can't wait for Infinity War.

Reading his statement pales in comparison to actually seeing and hearing him. It was like listening to the nutjob on the corner screaming about sentient clothes trying to take over the world.

Hard to have hate in your heart when you don't have one. But they've got guns and a 3rd grade education! So, fair trade-off?
