After all of y'all talking about it so much, I need to see this thing. Good thing it's winter (supposedly, though you wouldn't know from today — not that I'm complaining!!) and I have an excuse for sitting in watching old TV all night.

I'm with you: I've never really seen DS9, and I'm kind of excited to see it for the reviews. I can't decide if I want to try and get through the whole series before they start, or if I want to watch for the first time along with the reviews.

That was the only thing about this episode that REALLY bothers me. The other future relationship-y stuff seemed natural for the show, but that was was not only super forced, but it also erased the whole (thin to begin with) "lesson" of that episode.
