Like Jordan Morris said on a podcast, if someone's talking to you, fucking answer them, Ryan Gosling! Don't just stare at them like an insect!

Is it just me, or is that a very modern looking piece of electrical equipment on the power line pole behind them?

Pretty good. Their weirdo voices compliment each other, somehow. The writeup here made me think it would be an original song, though, so a little bummed that it's just Shenandoah. Also kind of weird that a different version of the same song is on the previous Johnny Depp-produced pirate song album.
The game with the bell is Pit - it is good dumb fun. It's played in real time, and things get so frantic that someone could get hurt.
I kind of understand. I love Settlers, but every once in a while, someone just gets shut out of the game because they're getting bad dice rolls. That sucks, because you're just sitting there with no resources, unable to do anything, while everyone else trades and builds away. It's no fun. Eventually you realize that…
Those are both games that I can't enjoy. They prioritize theme and setting and illustration and writing over actual gameplay. The gameplay itself is convoluted and complicated, yet shallow, with not many interesting decisions to be made. You spend too much time managing the pieces on teh board and not enough time…
Still my favorite AV Club meme. The original comment was just so perfectly and un-self-consciously pretentious.
This happens at every jazz concert where a cell phone goes off. I'm pretty sure these guys have practiced every pre-installed iphone ringtone in every key.
There are so many little things here. I love the credits rolling in dead silence. The control room must have been completely defeated by that point.
They're both wonderful! The indifference of the 30-person "crowd" is incredible.
Please. Like they didn't know exactly what they were doing in fucking 1968, in the direct aftermath of the civil rights movement.
Shut up, nerd.
Shut up, nerd.
Everything about that was perfect.

Yeah, Mike Murphy seemed shitty. Always weird when politics pros don't seem to care about actual policies.

I'm surprised at how much P.O.S. and I share. Columbo showing up on Netflix was the pop culture event of the year in my household.
