Well, fair enough if you feel that way, I can only disagree. Roth's maybe past his prime but he's got a ton of wry, enjoyable performances under his belt - The Hit, Rob Roy, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern - that I can see him injecting the role with some creative energy. I'd be more worried about someone like Madsen who

The part was pretty overtly written for Tim Roth and he will have fun with it. I don't know what you're upset about.

You think David Chase ended The Sopranos on a blackout to try and please everyone.

The only stake I actually put into this conversation was responding to your post with a fairly long list of dramas I very sincerely think hold a lot of merit, more so than the mildest of mild shots at how this show compares or how Internet Angry you then got at me personally, but, now and always, do as you feel.

"What am I going to watch when this finishes? I'm down to old episodes of ren and stimpy and my twin peaks box set."

TV dramas better than this one, at least at doing what they're supposed to do (Twin Peaks aside):

I am going to go ahead and say that they're referring to their mole in Nucky's organisation, it's "Joe Harper", and he's doing it because he's actually Tommy Darmody, because nothing else really makes sense, especially for a show that is not a friend to subtlety.

I'm pretty sure the idea is that the guys murdered weren't members or prospects and therefore Jax had them down as expendable scapegoats that wouldn't lead back to the MC, whereas one of them is evidently Jury's secret illegitimate son or something.

C6K is hard going for much of it and certainly not Ellroy's best but I'm a little surprised at the degree of scorn it's getting here. The Ward Littell and Pete Bondurant arcs I found wholly satisfying. I wouldn't put it far behind White Jazz or Blood's A Rover.

It's about kids in Vietnam fathered by American GIs, so I'm pretty confident Strummer is evoking their sense of rejection rather than condoning it.

Would you say that… perhaps… you're right now expressing your offence at what people say on the Internet and how that reflects on serious life or death issues you hold dear?

If only we knew the correct path was to let everyone know you're TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL AWWW YEAH *dons sunglasses, takes long drag of cigarette*

So when you say you disagree with Rollins, do you think that you have a fairer and more informed position than him, or that you happen to be displaying a particular opinion like a spiritual Mood Ring?

Rollin's thoughts cannot be reduced to unaccountable "feelings". He's publicly expressed his opinions of the worthlessness of people who have committed suicide. It's an idea with an emotional byproduct. A shitty, incoherent idea. However Rollins deals with the backlash I doubt he's going to run with such a pathetic

"I may be able to appreciate what he or she did artistically but it’s impossible to feel bad for them. Their life wasn't cut short - it was purposely abandoned. It’s hard to feel bad when the person did what they wanted to… Almost 40,000 people a year kill themselves in America, according to the Centers for Disease

Take your anti-Polish sentiments elsewhere you horrendous Slavophobe.

It just occurred to me that both Tara and Deputy Kenya probably got totally abrupt and obfuscated death scenes because True Blood doesn't actually have any black female stunt doubles.

I would say not so far but there's a whole round of moderately promising pilots that recently got ordered to series, so I am hoping they step their game up.
Although I don't really think Netflix have scored much cred other than Orange Is The New Black and their slightly underwhelming salvaging of Arrested Development.

There's actually a ton of incision and specificity in the spoofed television formats, which to me is especially funny versus the characters being mannered to the point of total absurdity. If I thought characters like Bobby Bottleservice and El Chupacabra were sincere attempts at stereotype humour I wouldn't be into it.
