Is there a practical or aesthetic reason the costume has so much… texture? The comic/cartoons basically designed him as a body-building eraser, and the sleekness of the Warburton costume was one of my favorite things about that series.
The "no touching rule" is such a great idea. KO can goad Sami over and over, only to fall back to a George Bluth-style "NO TOUCHING!"

New characters that aren't tied to existing "franchises" don't sell enough. Marvel will occasionally make an attempt in good faith to create new, diverse heroes (Avengers Academy, Runaways) but eventually the book sales will drop below the point of no return.
