I really like Mark Bagley's work. His stuff on Thunderbolts (which was probably the last time he was doing less than 36 pages a month) is so crisp and exciting. He has his flaws, but he's a great storyteller and designer.

ZING!
If you want powers, Riff, go for the DC Universe. There's so much bootleg super-hero equipment left over from WWII that you can buy exploding gloves off of eBay. Also, there's no registration.
"In… climax, Jenny Lewis exhorts Fred Savage's…little…Warp Whistle…"
If we're seeing the shooting gallery how Walt sees it, rather than how it really is, it's a little more forgivable that it comes off as Thunderdome. It's something of a cheat, but they did that in the first season, when a drugged and paranoid Jesse sees two Latter-day Saints fellas as gnarly bikers coming to steal…
Duke says, "You missed."
Indeed, give it up for Bizarro Toby. Since he's with Corporate, would that make him the HR Guy that Wallace mentioned in "The Job?"
Nabin is Nathan Rabin's "Hollywood couple" moniker. He's currently dating his last name.
It took two seasons…
but I finally love the show as much as everyone else. While I really liked the concept and maybe 50% of its execution, I found parts like the Buy-More and Chuck/Sarah's needlessy complicated attraction brought down my enjoyment of a show I wanted to like more than I did. This episode was nearly…
Good call. That was exactly what happened in Doom.
This movie is inferior to Hitman in just about every way (linked forever in my mind thanks to IWToP and Olga K.), but I give it points for having a third act with the hero DRUGGED OUT OF HIS MIND. The scene where he bursts into an empty room firing his gun and screaming showed how far gone he was, in a way the…

Blackest Night
I'm trying to defend a book I have not yet read, but I think Blackest Night HAS to dig pretty deep into long-term continuity.
SPOILER SPOILER YOU SHOULD SKIP THE NEXT COMMENT AS WELL SPOILER SPOILER

Movies Zack watches over and over…
"Ghostbusters, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, Alien, Blade Runner, Die Hard, Salo—"
This is a perfect movie.
I mean that sentence as literally as possible. There is nothing in this film that could be done better.
"I got you something for our anniversary! Open it!"
"If it's a severed head, I' going to be very upset with you."
I think that Tracyvision and Dollarvision paled next to Muppetvision. I understand that the joke was part of the storyline, but I would have kept the other two POVs for later episodes, where it wouldn't be compared so unfairly.
I posit that Nightmatre on Elm Street 4 wins, because no other entry uses nunchuks or Dramarama's "Anything, Anything" at all, let alone in the same sequence.
