Ridiculous is the word that came to mind for me as well. This kind of overheated melodrama, with the guns a-wavin' and the arms a-splattin', is what I expect from True Blood.

Yeah, I don't get this character at all. In the Washington episode, Spacek took an instant dislike to Bill, even as he tried to kiss her ass. Now in this episode, the roles were reversed, with Spacek being the ass-kisser. I didn't get the whole "pound of flesh" thing, that came out of nowhere.

I recently re-watched the film, knowing the complaints about the cats. And, seriously people, that scene is 5, maybe 10 seconds at most. It's about 0.001% of the 2-hour running time.
