Inbreeding. I always knew there was something a little off about Syrian hamsters.

"The Jeopardy Room" is an admirably stylish episode. At the very beginning there's a zoom-out from Kuchenko's room to the place across the alley where Vassiloff and Boris are lying in wait for him that's a little heady and makes great use of the medium. I also love that Vassiloff is such an utter snob. He's working…
The name's Tina. Talky Tina.
*doll finishes vodka martini*
My money's on Talky Tina. She doesn't need nasty little girls or Irish dupes to do her bidding. All she needs is a flight of stairs.
He’s an annoyingly eccentric boss, no question, but his employees spend every minute he isn’t in the office with them ranting about how much they loathe him—not just “Man, he’s such a jerk,” but literally “I hope his car falls off a bridge and he dies!” Worse, none of them seems actually frightened or cowed by him.…
Nice to have the TZ recaps back, even if it's only for a few more weeks. Have you given any thought to doing the old Outer Limits? I seem to remember that being a suggestion.
According to imdb, Devor has a new movie called You Can't Win in post-production. I can't vouch for whether it will get theatrical distribution, but he scored Michael Pitt for the leads, so he's not out yet.
To be fair they use similar makeup FX.
I caught the Paris Hilton resemblance too. Kind of helps make the story seem more current. You can imagine some of the time she spends staring into her compact she's actually looking at her phone and counting Twitter followers.
Oh wow, I didn't realize he was related to Brian "Unca Bill" Keith. Some families seem to get more than their share of misfortune.
Yeah, Dustin Hoffman was only ten years younger than William Daniels, who played is father in The Graduate. He's a good enough actor that you can sort of overlook it, though. Just imagine that he's been hit hard by entering his 20s.
In the Rifftrax of Sharknado they called him "the fourth coolest guy on 90210."
Has-beens? I wonder if Kevin Sorbo's ears are burning.
Really I haven't seen Insight, although it was still on, somewhere, when I was a kid. It sounds like an interesting anthology, though.
Serling actually wrote an episode of Insight called "The Hate Syndrome", a title which makes it sound like a thematic relative of "I am the Night".
That's how the episode could have benefited from another draft or two. Yeah, the reverend is a potentially interesting figure, but not enough is done with him. The sheriff and the newspaper editor are both decent men, it looks like, but they don't really serve much of a purpose except as ethical Monday morning…
Okay, so "I Am the Night, Color Me Black." It's not a total loss. I would say that director Abner Biberman does a good job with the script that he's given. George Lindsey is surprisingly effective in villain-hick mode.
"The Masks" is very simple as a story, its moral is very black-and-white, but it's a lot of fun to watch. The actors playing the family have a great time being vultures. I have a feeling that Alan Sues, who was gay IRL, learned to embody Wilfred Jr from the kids who bullied him in school. Also good is Robert Keith…
This has been the only AVC comments section I've commented in on a regular basis lately. Big part of the reason for that is that I see shows on such a time-shifted basis that there will already be 500 comments or more. That said, even if I commented on the site more the TZ section would be special to me. It feels…
