The guy who forgot to... um

Let me assure you that if you mug an old lady in New York for her marble rye, she will make you regret it.  There's one mistake I won't make again.

I also enjoyed Janeane Garofalo's "strictly angry and polemical" cameo.  There was some nice irony to her mocking herself across from lifelong Republican Joan.

The Hulu thing was a prime example of "too much meta, not enough fiction."  The episode picked up after the museum, when it got into the real meat of the story.

My friend and I discussed this after seeing the episode, but the plot in the second half of the episode seemed to be a takeoff on Helen Kushnick, Leno's old manager who stepped on so many toes after he got the Tonight Show gig that the Network forced him to fire her.  Kinda weird that it took nearly two decades for

Yeah, I wonder if the show has another ex-Harvard Lampoon headwriter.

Cool.  I thought she did well in what was sort of a one-note role.  Oh well, at least she saved him from getting lynched as a kiddie-toucher.

Pardo is Spanish, not Italian.  I'm sticking with Boo Shea Me.

Eh, it's better than his Cee-Lo.

In general I enjoy him more than I did Farley or Sanz.  He's a good think-on-his-feet comic.

Dare to dream, amigo, dare to dream.

The Miley Cyrus show wasn't that great, but it did tickle me that Steve's character said he worked in a combination Taco Bell and Pizza Hut.  Apparently there's a Das Racist fan on the writing staff.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Christmas decoration sketch had been sitting around for a while.  Partly because there's nothing topical about it, beyond the holiday.  But also because that kind of pileup of random weirdness is hard to pull off.  It worked because Buscemi knew what he was doing, but it would have sunk

Not as bad as AFI and TV on the Radio in the past, but you're not wrong.

Oh, if you want a quick refresher on these episodes, I caught "A World of Difference" broken into three pieces on YouTube.  The Dutch video site 123video.nl has "Long Live Walter Jameson" in one piece.

These two episodes really represent Richard Matheson and Charles Beaumont playing at the top of their respective games.  If anything, I'd give higher marks to "A World of Difference."  Re-watching it recently it struck me how most of the show gives weight to the more mundane explanation.  That is, Arthur Curtis isn't

Beat me to it.

The show looks intriguing and I look forward to being able to see it.  I agree that 3 episodes looks kind of skimpy.  That's British TV, though.  The 13-episode seasons that Doctor Who does are short by US network standards, but longer than just about any other BBC drama.

Agreed.  This may have been Shirley's best storyline of the season so far.  It's certainly the one that goes the furthest outside of her "token Church Lady" role.

The idea of "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" seemed kind of cool when I first heard it.  As in, "Oooh, a Christmas song where an old lady gets iced.  That's dark, man."  But no, the song doesn't hold up to repeated listenings.  I have high hopes for the followup song "Grandpa Got Gunned Down by a Disgruntled Elf"

I'd take the return of Mark B over Chris Traeger, easy.  He just seems like he should be there.
