The guy who forgot to... um

I only laughed out loud (or lol'd) a couple of times, but the different permutations of the events and personalities were so interesting that I didn't mind the relative lack of hilarity. I came away with a greater appreciation for the friendships within the group, seeing how it could all go so wrong.

Max: You don't think I'll be alone at 50, do you?
Brad: Come on, buddy.  You're not gonna make it to 50.

Charles Beaumont was very much one of the sadder cases involved with the Twilight Zone.  He had a kind of fucked childhood, with an abusive mother who dressed him up as a girl.  (This may be why, in all honesty, some of his stories are homophobic even for the times.)  When he grew up he was starting to get notice as

Dick was around, and was already fairly popular in the sci-fi mags.  His reputation as we know it now wouldn't really happen for a few more years, though.

I loved Kane's misty reflection on what happened to Lego's.  Both his scenes in this episode are like a seminar on how to use a dramatic actor in comedy.

I'm hoping Todd gets his chance at bloody revenge.  Todd from the show, I mean.  Todd VanderWerff probably shouldn't look for trouble.

I beg to differ.  Lucy may be the quiet one in the extended family, but her songs are amazing.

Jane can not possibly know how lucky she is to be a woman.  A guy who tried to get his child-by-sperm bank into a van would immediately be classed as a pedophile and put on the express train to Assrape City.

I do feel bad about that, especially since a couple of his kids are still pretty young.

As a Rhode Islander, I must extend congratulations to local gal Meredith Vieira for being the first American newscaster featured on Dr Who.

I'd be all for it.  AHP represents the height of the anthology TV era.  It had great genre writers like Bloch, Slesar, and Collier onboard, and Hitch pretty much had his choice of actors.

(Sidenote: Is Disqus being a douchebag for anyone else?  It keeps telling me to make sure I'm logged in when I try to post.  Yeah,

Hell, it was still a big risk 30 years later.  Ask Tasha Yar.

In the horrible marriage department you also have "Stopover in a Quiet Town" from season 5.  The hung-over couple are trapped in a town with no other people.  Their main dissatisfaction seems to be not having anyone to cheat with.

Hell, no one's even told OurLinc that he's got a double out there with no glasses and more prominent sideburns.

Cortexiphan trials?  No.  But I have a strong suspicion that she was exploited by Walternate in some way, whether she knows it or not.  As "Subject 13" showed, he knew that Ourlivia was a key to getting to Peter.  Could Fauxlivia working for him be just a coincidence?

McLennan 1's memory of how Marjorie (hot foster mom?) turned him from the dark side could have been cheesy, but it was played very well.  And in all honesty it's nice to see a sci-fi show come down so clearly on the "nurture" side.

Not only that, but Kevin Corrigan has recurring roles on both shows.

Pierce: I'm farting right now.

I don't really think there's any doubt that Alex and Dave will eventually get back together.  I mean, if you have to ask on a TV show, the answer is almost always yes.

The was definitely an episode that frontloaded its strongest material, and I understand why they would.  The debate was funny all around, and I was impressed that they're already doing gay husband jokes about Bachmann.
