The guy who forgot to... um

Jerry
I was relieved that Tom's typically dickish attempt to scapegoat Jerry failed. Thanks to Ron, largely. It would have been a little too too if everyone had jumped on Jerry. You can get away with it more when your loser character is also kind of jerky, like Lutz on 30 Rock.

I'm not happy to know this, but it's "Jersey Shore" slang for the ugly girl you go for so your friend can bang the hot one.

My only problem with the Britta half was the faux moral dilemma. There's a difference between a guy who likes nipple play and one who makes hats out of babies? Um, duh. Then again it's possible that was the joke and I was just too dense to appreciate it.

I don't think Harley should be in every Joker story, but she makes perfect sense. The Joker is a maniac who doesn't give half a fuck about anything. There will always be people who find that a very attractive quality. In retrospect I'm suprised the Joker was around for fifty odd years before anyone had the idea of

He's definitely one of the most compelling of the show's one-off villains, although I think Richard Hance from "The Thin White Line" needs more love.

I remember this as being a very good Mulder episode. There's a nice interrogation scene where he makes it clear to Harold that A: he's not part of the mob that wants to nail Harold for the muders and that B: Harold really needs to work with him on this. So it's worth watching, mainly for the leads.

Fauxlivia
As noted, Walternate learns in this episode about Olivia knowing Peter. This raises an interesting possibility: That Walternate's idea of using the Earth 2 Olivia (Fauxlivia) as a catspaw to tempt Peter to his side started not in "Over There" but back when he was younger and she was just a kid. Granted,

Hope Chris and Ann stay broken up
I've found it kind of hard to accept their relationship as being one of the main emotional plots on the show. Ann's had a different boyfriend every season. Why get more invested in this one? Because he's Rob Lowe? No, not me.

In truths "Ghosts…" probably isn't the best example. I was sort of an anti-shipper during the X-Files days, thinking Mulder and Scully had more of a friend/colleague vibe. That episode was definitely pitched to the shippers. Of course I've seen many pairings since which made far less sense, so seeing it again

Is comfort food a good thing?
Actually I do like "Small Potatoes" in and of itself, but there's a caveat. I think it might be an example of "good episode, bad influence". The show would do more and more of these "relax and enjoy ourselves" stories as time went on. And they got more pointless and obnoxious, until

April's sister
When April said "Pick up my dumb sister from her dumb dance class" I was expecting… Well, I wasn't expecting the sister to be even meaner. Damn.

The charisma-free slabs of meat
The superhero actors who weren't Adam West mostly had acting careers limited to the late seventies. The guy who played the Flash had a slightly more expansive career, by which I mean he was the beta-stud in a lot of T&A movies. This is all according to the IMDB.

@Captcha Reader
Don't get too attached to Paul Brittain. The truth is that the need to bring in new talent mixed with Lorne's unwillingness to part with veteran cast members means that some people are going to get canned after one or two years whether they deserve it or not. And of the four, he's the one most likely

Dunn's immediately getting fired sort of put the kibosh on anyone following her example.

My favorite Swanson moment…
May have been when Jenny asked if he'd be willing to go to Canada with her, and he just cracked up laughing. I'm originally from Canada, but I could read all this thoughts about frozen socialism and silly looking Mounties.

Warren Oates is right. But you knew that.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the BNL rant was as close as this show wants to come to war with Big Bang Theory.

As to the D&D format, I could nitpick. Players and the DM should both have separate sets of dice. Abed should have had a screen in front of him to hide notes and stuff. Nobody rolled initiative. Yadda yadda yadda. But I understand they had to streamline.

@Fenchurch's Children
I too voted for the Finger of Bad, so I feel your pain. Mm-mm, that song hits the sweet spot everytime.

So I'm the only one who sees Noah Bennett from Heroes?
