They gave him virtually nothing to do in Superman Returns— or, nothing worthwhile. I've seen Superman Returns several times, and I can still barely recall Spacey's scenes.

Wasn't "A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius" in first person? That was pretty funny for my dollar.

I guess they don't NEED to— but yes, it's obnoxious organizing a collection that arbitrarily resets. Does it generate more sales? Yeah, it probably does. But as a collector it feels like less of a triumph to have collected three 33-issue runs than one 100-issue run. AND I THRIVE ON TRIUMPH.

I think you're dead-on on the "originals junkie" mode of thinking. I found a couple of reasonably-priced Frank
Miller originals on eBay after this discussion started, and I pulled
the trigger— but I am fully aware of how tedious/expensive it will be to get them all,and you're right in the fact that I'll more likely

Thanks, will check out Daredevil Yellow— also, just for fun I checked eBay for the Frank Miller books (I like to have the originals if at all possible). Yeah, that's not gonna happen. Guess I'll pick up a trade. :)

Cool, sounds like a plan.

Thanks. I knew the Frank Miller run was up there but I wasn't sure if that was a good place to start.

Guys, I like Daredevil, but for some reason I have never picked up the books except sporadically. Can anyone recommend what is widely considered to be the highlight/classic run of this book, past or present?

I've been looking forward to this one, looks like it's going to be fun.

I don't know if I'd call them the best ever— even if they're way, way at the top of that list— but I do maintain that "Under Pressure" is one of the finest songs ever written.

I remember being a little kid (like 4 or 5) and dancing around in my dad's inconveniently enormous headphones (cutting edge for their day) while listening to "Another One Bites the Dust" on vinyl while the gauges on his Pioneer SX-1980 receiver bounced to the groove. And how that soundscape in the middle of the song

Are there people out there that don't like "Sheer Heart Attack"? If so, throw me into the what-do-I-know camp.

Yeah, that "Highlander" song— if you took that song away from the context of the show, would it sound so out-of-place in the Queen oeuvre? I think it fits perfectly.

Good stuff. Found art is of particular interest to me, in that it's opening a debate on whether context is important; it simultaneously is and isn't. Was the object art before it was "found"? Is only the artist capable of recognizing this? And by extension, isn't anybody that recognizes this technically an artist, or

BREAKING NEWS: All Celebrities Have Died

Sure, it'll live on; but you've also seen the last of it. I feel like being unable to mourn the artist behind the art is succumbing to a stony-hearted view of the world; but to each his own.

Drake should go into the Shia LaBeouf #IAMSORRY room, and they could stare at each other tearfully

Because when a person's work moves you, it's sad to see them go. It's not overtly self-aware or reasonable (that's usually how grief works). Artists communicate on a subliminal level, and that bond can be strong. Sure, some of them die stupidly. Some don't. But so what? Haven't you ever felt a little dumbfounded when

You're dead inside.

I wish every celebrity in America had a little room with a door that says #IAMSORRY on it where you could go inside and they're sitting there and you could hear them apologize or get a bite of their sandwich or whatever. This is getting seriously amusing.
