I dunno… Markie Post would have made for good satire, too…

Best non-Christmas use of "Skating" ever.

There was something in my small hometown of about 25,000 people a year and a half ago where some guy got into a 100-year-old vet's house and attacked him.  He later died at the hospital.  I wonder if maybe they heard that story (it's not all that far from LA) and tweaked it to fit their story.

I think I like season 1 only because it shows what the show was originally planned to be.  Kevin talks above about critics souring on the format of the show, but I think in transition to TNT, it's kept the same game plan and tone but had to shed its ensemble cast setting by way of losing out on an NBC-level budget.

He could have his own version of "Taken," or "24" or whatever.

I had to look up Captain K'nuckles to figure out what the hell you were talking about. That can't seriously be the top/only way you know Brian Doyle-Murray…?

You just had to remind us.

She's also explained more saliently in recent episodes why she fell for Jimmy.  It's not just him: seeing the loving family he was raised by, despite all the weirdery they've got going on, she sees potential for an equally loving relationship.  I guess she wants that all the more, given her relationship with her

The "And Introducing" gag has been around since day one.

I'm thinking there's an episode that I forgot I missed…

Ah shit. I slipped.

So, based on what I'm seeing from the commentariat so far, I'm the first one here to be sincerely optimistic to excited about this?

Yeah, can a brotha get a [sic] on a quote?  I feel like we should have a [sic] on that quote.
