You can fully blame my Fios provider, who has not given my area FXX, at least not without paying for a higher tier of cable ($15, comes with 40 channels i won't watch). I hope they wise up and just give it to us, like IFC, which randomly showed up in my lineup recently. GRRRRRRRRR.

Doc Hollywood is a Sunday afternoon cable classic! I will watch it anytime I flip to it.

I stopped hate-watching things (I removed ANTM, amongst others, from my DVR! It was easy!) this year and my life is so much better and full of wonderful shows that I never had time to watch bc I was too busy with Tyra fucking Banks. Anyone can do this!

Oh God bringing up Smash makes this so much more depressing. I LOVE musical theater and I quit that show after five episodes.

I never watched Better Off Ted because I knew it was going to get cancelled and I didn't want to get too attached. I didn't start watching Happy Endings until it was renewed for a third season. ABC is THE WORST.

EF is the jam and I am so pleased with Personal Record as a whole. She has really become a wonderful songwriter.

Yes YES Laura Stevenson! Wheel is fantastic and beautiful and sad and I hope everyone buys it.

If the Coen brothers can make me like Brad Pitt, they can make me like Johnny Depp again.

Friday: I saw The Bling Ring and it was pretty and glossy and I enjoyed it greatly. I also spent some time with Eleanor Friedberger's excellent Personal Record. My husband played some records too, mostly Dischord stuff—Shudder to Think & Fire Party.

I really think the past 3 seasons are the best. I understand the show better and I think Matt Weiner does too. Man, that schoolteacher storyline was THE WORST.

I don't know what Joan has that Bob wants. She helped him retain his job but I don't know if she has a lot of power yet and she definitely doesn't have a lot of money. I just like to think of them as having a super sweet relationship.

Oh that show is terrrrrrible. It's ok though because I eat peanut butter cups while watching America's Next Top Model. Something about all those skinny bitches makes me need candy.

I love it. Go get it. It's better than the new Strokes record overall.

I think they're both pretty unlistenable but OLTA's best songs were FAR better than Skyscraper's.

No mention of Fabio from The Strokes project Little Joy, probably because it's too good, right?

I'm kind of getting a Bryan Cranston thing from him ala Malcolm in the Middle. Also similarly underrated by people who give awards for comedy. I hope he follows a Cranston-esque career trajectory.
(Clearly Garret Dillahunt has been in A TON of other things).

Well, anything that gives her more of a personality.
Though, I shouldn't say that or Ryan Murphy might hear and make her the principal next season, even without a college degree.

This episode totally would have been an A+ had they figured out a way to somehow work in Orin. However, this is true for all episodes of Parks & Rec.

The male stripper was funny—I loved that April knew him. Plus, Donna was hilarious. And I loved the blocked-out penises. It should have been more of that weird stuff!
