Since the lengths of seasons seem to vary so much, without someone coming out and saying it, I don't know if you could really figure out what season it was.

The important question was "why was Jon Arryn killed" and that one did get answered.  Then the person who found the answer was killed.

I think it comes back to the question of how much control, if any, does Cersei have over Joffrey.

Maybe she just really gets in to trolling.

Though it does make me wonder how they came up with their definition of a year.
