"caught [misusing the word irony] by the very man that was trying to catch him"

Reviewed today, on my 41st birthday.
How ironic.

Mostly agree w/ Franko, but this was the first actual Columbo episode I saw and it blew me away. This is the one that ends w/ a vision of Falk in … was it a ringmaster's garb? Or old fashioned movie director outfit? As a kid, I really thought that was a great touch.
~Before this, I'd only seen Falk parodying himself in

even the 5th book? That was sad and terrible, clearly the product of a clinically depressed man lashing out in anger.

agree, but still it is a cartoon, and having the team sit around and debate subterfuge & trust issues with The People (which was the real main conflict) … hug it out as it were, wouldn't have the same impact.
Add 1 more part, they could've done a nice riff on the "trial of the Justice League" for a wrap up tho.

The non-season they did with viral videos and other social media games was amazing, that was what made me a fan actually.
I've never seen a live show—aside from the National Pro Wresting Day comeback event on youtube.
But yea, not knowing if it was a humongous game, or really the sad last gasp of an amazing troupe

so much chikara they would love here.

Awesome song, and UMB is an amazing wrestler.
I would love to see AV Club cover CHIKARA, the main promotion he works for. I think they'd appeal to the taste of the pop culture obsessives on the avclub:

which Fantomas is least / most like the one Grant Morrison made for X-Men comics?

I think the movie Wargames gave us the guidance we need in cases like this, "The only way to win, is not to play." Thank you John Badham, thank you 1983.

I'm feeling tired and dull, so I need to ask for clarity, this movie is a somewhat remake of Les Vampires right? The way the D'Angelo breaks up his description through the 2nd and 3rd paragraphs confused me.

I always thought the way they staged the buildup to the gun firing was inspired by the famous "Daisy" political ad from 1964:

first was Return Of with Thor in it, then Trial with Daredevil, and finally Death of, with a character who was not billed as—but totally was—Black Widow.

Adventure Time 28, and Doop #2. I was half asleep when I read them, but each seemed okay. I like the art on Doop.

*drops to kneed, crys "no" in extended tortured manner to the sky*

it all makes sense now, he's a martian … an evil white martian maybe!?

I love JLU made room for all these old timer. Even by DC comic standards they were relics. Finding room to give speaking parts for Crimson Avenger (not to mention Spy Smasher), and feature bits for these other dudes, really shows respect & love from the writers.

I think the JSA run where the edgy Crimson Avenger shows up was done by Jones, not Morrison. *lazy, I'm not looking it up*
Unless, she was introduced in 7 Soldiers someplace and imported…I never got all those books tracked down.

to the library!
