I remember watching Descent: Part 2 and being really noticing how cheaply made and hack it felt. They cut a lot of corners on both these episodes, trying to keep things cheap by shorting on the FX and even background extras. There was one scene in Descent pt 2 that was supposed to be a huge Borg crowd shot, which was

It was like Buffy the Vampire Slayer for middle aged married women who read Harlequin Romance Novels, which interestingly encouraged the publisher to develope sub-imprints such as Nocturne, Luna, and Rogue Angel. (and I just spent 10 minutes on the Harlequine website looking that crap up. Why, because I care.)

I'm a lapsed Family Guy fan and
It's pretty obvious by some of the plots and rants in his shows that MacFarlane is an atheist and really has a bug up his ass about how religious fundamentalism is dumbing down this country.

I've got a couple of general problems w/ it, and some pet peeves.
I think it's silly, and pretty short sighted not to just do a whole reboot.
They want to gamble and walk away w/ the biggest chips on the table.
It's obvious they're trying to protect the only things they have working right now—Batman … and …. ?
And for

Where do you get all those production notes & quotes from Todd?
Are they from a number of books/websites, or do you have a couple of "go to" resources? I've watched the series incluing the handful of commentaries, and read the Chip Kid book.
Where should I go next, for episode by episode notes from the creators?

thinking of jumping ship
From DC back to Marvel.
I'm not any kind of brand loyalist, but for whatever reason all my ongoings have been DC books for the past 3 years.

Always loved his run the best, hit me at the perfect age.
Best chaste romance for the young and fearful too.

Lang wasn't so knoble . . .
I've read enough about the director to know he was as much an opportunist as he was exiled German Patriot. Lang hated Hitler as only a Jew could of course, but the man [probably] murdered his first wife, and felt nothing of putting others in harms way to get what he wanted.
While making his

Already Happened, read "Red Son" a surprisingly intellegent and fun take on the idea by none other then Mark Millar (I know, surprised as everyone by that). Nice twist at the end too.

"And what ending are you talking about?"

@Jasper: Compare Carpenter's take on the characters to the first film version and the short story and you'll see where I get my take on it.
You can do the right/heroic thing and still be a nihilist: Can Do Attitude vs. Scorched Earth Policy.
Hawke's cast hung together and found a way out of it (which remained true to

I dug the redesign on Catwoman, for the reasons mentioned above.
It made sense that she'd look that way, and the strict B&W design was a nice comment on her moral ambiguety.

^ good catch.

tones = tons

So, which is better? VOTE!
(If you say the '82 version, you're wrong.)
I've never been a fan of the '82 remake. While it does hue closer to the original story, the ending is completely different. If Carpenter wants to say our inability to trust and work with each other will be our demise, then that's fine for story's

Don't fret NeurISIS, it's very likely DV8 and a lot of the other books will continute elsewhere.
The way DC and Jime Lee are talking about it, while still talking about it makes me think these properties will pop up as digital reads.

Looks like you

This stunt is

If I'm not mistaken, both House and Popcorn were at the vanguard of that new genre the "Thrillomedy" which cleverly combined elemets from horror films (or Thrillers) with the laughs of comedies (or Comedies)

honestly
Isn't this the sort of awesome that should only be viewed on VHS? Or, better yet, BETA?
