"Gun Has No Trigger" is one of my favorite songs this year - love it!

My friends and I used to drive around and get high and listen to Ill Communication in high school, and whenever "Get It Together" came on, we'd roll down the windows and turn up the volume.  We were those annoying kids with the subs that would rattle the trunk, but oh they were good times…

I had the same thought as Sheltie, not who is Yim Yames — but why (and since when) is he called Yim Yames.  Hadn't heard of the pseudonym.

So I'm late to the party here, but I just saw this yesterday.

I wish I hadn't opened this story.  Reading all the comments, and some of the wikipedia entries, has really put a damper on my mental happiness for the day (ie - thinking of all the f*cked up stuff that, while I know it happens, I'd rather not acknowledge or think about).

When I was younger I went through a phase where I looked for that violent kind of stuff too.  But It lasted maybe 30 minutes, and whenever the actual gruesomeness came on, I'd look away.  The boobies were much more to my liking.

New Order's "Bizarre Love Triangle" is a good choice.

"A commenter identified as Beck actually seems to have read the book, giving it a one-star review and attacking a substantial quote."

I love all three.  I was kinda 'meh' the first time I heard Infinite Arms, but it was a definite grower, now it's got some of my favorite songs by them:  Older, Dilly, Compliments… great songs.

When I saw them live during their Is This It tour - they seemed really disinterested and played for what seemed to be only 30 minutes or so. Totally opposite to their First Impressions tour, when Julian was somewhat chatty between songs.

I used to really like The Gray Race, but haven't listened to much for the past ten years. Around here the song "A Walk" got a fair amount of radio play - but my favorite songs off that album were "Them and Us" and "Punk Rock Song".

F-14 Tomcat
I just went to an air show yesterday, and aside from being incredibly loud, those planes are easily my favorite.

Not an easy task
I can imagine how daunting a task it is to delve into writing a column like this. Especially a genre of music where there are so many heavyweights to cover and try to "do justice" to.

Well, yodel isn't really the right word - but you know what I mean
