Pretty terrible.
Pretty terrible.
- Continued on watching 'Rome' after a short break. Right into it now, it really finds it's feet post episode 4 and everything is really coming together well. It's like a better version of Game of Thrones (a patently average show).
You're speaking too broad. Too much of the system as a whole. None of that stops one from judging an artwork alone on it's aesthetic merits only. Society puts barriers on how some art comes to be, historically this is true, but once that art has come to be, it's entirely possible for the individual to judge it on it's…
Laughed along with Sonia?
Been Savage's best buddy?
Moby Dick deserves better than that capsule.
I regularly argue that Stardust Memories is a genuine classic and one of Allen's best. Good to see someone else is a fan.
Don't mind that she's genre.
Don't have anything against her.
She does write well.
I think what this episode shows above all is that the human spirit cannot be overcome. You know, as a writer, if you took away my paper, I would write on my heart. If you take away my ink, I'd write on the wind. *pause* It wouldn't be an ideal way to work.
That's fair. And I understand why that would tick people off, especially military folk, but it's just not something I've ever worried about. :)
Peep Show is one of the top 2-3 greatest comedies of the 2000's.
Well actually two.
Placebo are great! Some of their newer stuff falls a bit flat, but fuck what anyone else says, overall they're great.
Scrolling past quite fast, that looked like "HARRY POTTER AND SCORSESE'S STONE!"
Not being a realistic war movie does not make it a bad movie. You can comment on how unrealistic it is all you want. I just don't factor that into my judgement of how well crafted the film is.
I don't have any real cultural dealmaker, as I find the concept pretty silly. But some pop culture things that at least could make me want to have an ongoing conversation with a person for a period of time:
If only the fact that they were in the military had any relevance to the quality of their opinion. It wasn't a documentary.
Finally? FINALLY? As if Blu Ray wasn't already far superior to DVD.
She didn't.
Mine would be the opposite. People who go absolutely nuts over Harry Potter to the point of obsession and constantly talking about it and updating your school on Facebook to 'Hogwarts' and to shipping it and blah blah blah everything.
Much better. I'm sure writing will only get better from here on out :)
