I dunno, Green Lantern was more or less shown to be, just, The Worst, so I don't know how much closer to the source material it could have got.

Corman's philosophy was clearly quantity over quality.

Which reminds me, calling this "fortuitously" lost is forgetting that MST3K was in it's prime in the mid-90's. Then again, I'm not sure they'd be interested in doing a Roger Corman film.

That was my hope as well, but it's pretty clear FX sent multiple screeners and Todd's talking about them pretty definitively, so it's clearly a Top Gear-esque "here's what's to come" montage.

Honestly, I thought this one was firing on all cylinders, joke-wise, and made perfect use of Gene and Tina as supporting characters, but one thing really kept me from enjoying it as much as I should have and that was Linda running completely unchecked. Her tendency to just bullheadedly do whatever she wants, force

"I'm sorry, I don't even want to do this, but it's MY JOB!"

She's a nude-contrarian. She only wants to be naked when it's NOT accepted by other.

The show definitely wasn't as action-heavy as many wanted but I was invested in the plot and the characters and it had enough great moments spread out that I feel comfortable defending it. Not to mention it started really picking up right before it got canceled (with the promise of much more action in Season 3 than

If anyone deserved a fleshed-out shoehorned role in The Hobbit, it was Figwit.

Gimli might not even know.

Since TSCC branched from the T3 movie timeline, I choose to ignore all post-T2 movies. In my head the Terminator franchise is Terminator, Terminator 2, and The Sarah Connor Chronicles (which is on break and I'm patiently awaiting Season 3 which is going to be incredible and answer all our most burning questions while

Bob's line at the end about his pimple was great. It was so Gene-like. I love any time you see bits of the kids' personalities come out in Bob and Linda (and Gayle).

I tried to post this a bit ago and Disqus ate it, but this episode felt particularly 'Home Movies'. Particularly the entire practice scene in the basement (Gayle was a dead ringer for Jason) and Louise's mini-conversation about the black eyes. Jen's speech about being a bad babysitter could have been a McGurk

Misread the title as "NBC wants a Wolfram show" and it reminded me how much I loved Season 5 of Angel.

My only real disappointment with the early 90's party is that Rob Lowe wasn't dressed as his character from Wayne's World.

Goddman SECONDS too late…

I dunno, I'm partial to Bill Pontiac

But is "That sentence isn't a meme" a meme?

@avclub-14e4cee178d88fb9aa346dbcc11f2873:disqus You're kidding, right?  Yeah if he was an accountant or something he'd probably want something inconspicuous but you couldn't ask for a better showbiz name.  People will pay attention to articles about him based on the incredible name alone.  The young Cumberbatch was
