Yeah, Plinkett pretty much dismantles Insurrection. It's like kicking a puppy.

Rich, I will totally buy that. Drugs might be an even better metaphor than dreams, in this case. And my own experiences weren't nearly that cool/profound. We got lousy stuff in Ohio.
"Suspicions" is pretty watchable. One of her finest hours.
He knows he deserves it. Poor bastard.
…and who was it on this board who came up with the Garak/Bashir spinoff series, which was to be titled "Elim Garak Will Wreck Your Shit?" Speak up if you're reading. Because I think about that pretend show all the time, and giggle.
Oh, man, Richilieu. I've personally spoiled dozens of episodes on here. Should we be more careful about this? I thought it was understood we were all cool with that.
I'm not as down on BoBW2 as most are. It couldn't deliver the payoff we were hoping for, but it does get the job done. It's got some fine moments. Every minute with Locutus is pretty sweet.
Oh, Mrs. Peel. Why must you rain on our phallocentric parade?
Or he would…if Stone Cold Badass Motherfucker Data hadn't iced his sociopathic ass.
Dired — agreed. I wanted to point that out to "No" above, as well. We only see him collapse — there's no indication that he immediately gets better. Kamin could have been in a coma for a year, for all we know. We don't pick up his story again until some time later.
Well, I think Cid's a girl. Or a castrato. And I'm not gonna get hostile; I just don't understand the rage directed at what's after all a pretty fine show, whether or not you think it's "proper" Star Trek. (Obviously, we all do.)
Wow. I'm sort of shocked and humbled by the degree of "Move Along Home" love on display, here. Perhaps I have been arrogant.
Meh. Don't beat yourself up about it. Kids are dumb. And kids like robots! I thought "Datalore" was great when I saw it at twelve! (It's not!) So, you liked Lore, you liked the Borg. The Borg are cool, right? The show should have been awesome, so you believed it was. It happens.
"The Wire" is terrific. I said that last week, and then I went and watched it again. I remember watching it the first time and being amazed at what the show was turning into. "Is this Star Trek?" I kept thinking.
"It's as if all you knew about WW II was "Hogan's Heroes", and then you saw "Saving Private Ryan" and "Schindler's List"."
Really? Maybe I need to see it again. I just thought the whole game was nonsensical and the whole thing made me cringe. And Quark. Yes. That.
Though the idea was to set up the Klingon war, which a lot of the writers seemed to later think was mistake, taking away from the show's main arc. There's something to that, but some good episodes came out of it, I guess.
And we've said it before, but it's HILARIOUS. Because the key to command is being willing to order Geordi to his death. Sold!
I love the idea of Section 31, but I always felt like they overplayed the concept. Yeah, naturally the Federation would have its own Tal Shiar or Obsidian Order or CIA. And naturally its existence would be a carefully-guarded secret. But the level of secrecy that Section 31 has apparently maintained for CENTURIES…
Why, you're right! That's EXACTLY what I would do! How did you know?
